Pattern : Noise

Pattern:Noise is a series of objects that explores the affordances of using FDM 3D printing to “weave.” The printer starts by weaving a distinct 2D pattern, before gravity is added to the process to create the third axis and introduce an element of noise to the design.

FDM 3D printing builds objects layer by layer, but this new process explores using a different methodology, bypassing the 3D printer’s typical precision and introducing an element of chance.
